Sandy Skoglund Blows My Mind

For class this week we are talking about using color to our advantage. Today for class I will be showing the students a ton of work that shows how important color can be, of course the first images that came to mind were Sandy Skoglund. She creates the most interesting, beautiful installation pieces and has them photographed.

Honestly amazing and inspiring.

This is trippy, but I was JUST telling my life partner (read wife) last nighe about her. My favorite one is the one she did with cheese puffs, carefully placed everywhere, it was either that or Toy Story 2, I can't remember, amyway I have loved her work for years. You should talk about tge film Amelie too, brilliant color work in that film.

A friend of mine was her assistant in NYC. She only takes one photo a year. The remaining time is prep time for the picture.
